Paper Types

1. ​Corrugated cardboard, food containers, gift boxes, and other miscellaneous paper containers cut into assorted pieces serve as the framework and essentials of the objects.
2. Use paper cuttings for making braces, or decorative wood work on ceilings and doorways. It is an excellent roof for any building.
3. The size of your creation helps decide choice of paper. Empty food boxes are light to medium weight and make sturdy but delicate miniatures. Make curtains, drapes, furniture, wreaths, and bed covers with lightweight, soft, and flexible boxes.
4. Paper towels, table napkins, and tissue papers are excellent choices as fabric covers, curtains, drapes, pillows, and blankets.
5. Make flowers and wreaths with tissue paper.
6. Craft paper is a choice for representing wall paper, a picture in a frame, a wood or tile floor, carpet, and accent rugs.
7. Paper mache is popular for creating sculptures and separate three-dimensional objects, wall coverings, paper, roofing patterns, stucco, brickwork or pebbles.
8. The paper mache mixture or paste creates textured images of stucco, plaster, and mortar on surfaces, between stones and bricks, and roof surfaces.
9. Toilet tissue rolls, medium weight cardboard, produce furniture, animals, vehicles, storage and shelves, festival decorations, banisters, fences, and scenery projects.​
10. Kraft paper (brown paper for shipping or plain wrapping packages) creates walkways, ground cover, mountains, signs, small single style architectures, and crisscross strips as support beams for scenery.
